Stonehaven Anchorage, Hook Island.

Saturday 16th May,We sailed out aboard Chilli Frog to Stonehaven Anchorage on Hook Island for some R&R.The trip out to Stonehaven was a beauty. 20kt winds and a clear blue sky.A couple of turtles basked in the sun on the surface about halfway across The Whitsunday Passage.

Day Sail to Stonehaven.

The reef at Stonehaven was good for viewing.
Shark and Coral Trout were there to greet us
along with many small colourful Reef Fish.
We saw coral bleaching but contrary to
reports there is regrowth appearing. Some
of us went to the long beach while others
decided to stay aboard and partake from
the liqour store. After lunch at about
2-30pm we headed back across the Passage,
wind against tide and arrived back at Abel
Point at about 4-30.Another great day sailing.

Wonderful pictures! Stonehaven Anchorage is a real beauty!! Will surely include it in my list of sightseeing during my visit to Australia.... Fortunately, i can visit all such places without any financial worries.... This wouldn't have been possible had i not come across the fabulous offer of the Accor group of hotels through http://tinyurl.com/n5lnku which promises an incredible discount clubbed with record low air-fares...
